It was a day for joy in The Sportsground as bottom of the table Connacht have beaten Leinster 27-13. This was the first time Connacht have beaten Leinster since 2004.

Tries came from Brian Touhy, Troy Nathan and Michael Swift. Michael Swift got one of the tries of the season which pleased the homecrowd greatly.

Connacht had Leinster on their knees as they attacked for most of the match.

The homecrowd cheered and celebrated as the full-time whistle went as this was a historic win of the European Champions.
